Vermont Oxford Network

Vermont Oxford Network (VON) is a non-profit collaboration of healthcare professionals dedicated to improving the quality, safety, and value of care for newborn infants and their families. Established in 1988, the network maintains a comprehensive database that tracks the care and outcomes of high-risk newborns at over 1,100 neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) worldwide. VON leverages this data to provide member hospitals with benchmarks, quality improvement programs, and educational resources. Their work focuses on critical neonatal issues such as neonatal abstinence syndrome, extremely low birth weight, and respiratory distress. By fostering a global community of practice, VON facilitates multi-center research and the implementation of evidence-based clinical practices.
