VersaMatrix

Versamatrix was a Danish biotechnology company specializing in the development and manufacturing of advanced resin technologies for solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS) and combinatorial chemistry. Founded by Nobel laureate Morten Meldal, the company's proprietary VersaMatrix platform provided high-performance polymer supports designed to improve the efficiency and purity of complex molecule production. The company served the pharmaceutical and biotech industries by providing specialized tools for drug discovery and development. In 2011, Versamatrix was acquired by Biotage, a global life sciences tools company, to enhance its portfolio in peptide synthesis and purification. The acquisition allowed Biotage to integrate Versamatrix's unique resin technology into its existing automated synthesis systems.
