Veterans Medical Research Institute

The Veterans Medical Research Foundation (VMRF), often referred to as the Veterans Medical Research Institute, is a private non-profit research organization dedicated to supporting the research and educational activities of the VA San Diego Healthcare System. Established in 1989, the foundation provides the administrative and financial infrastructure necessary for VA investigators to conduct high-impact biomedical research. VMRF manages a diverse portfolio of projects funded by federal agencies like the NIH and DoD, as well as private industry collaborations.
