VetStem Biopharma pioneered veterinary regenerative medicine using autologous adipose-derived stem cells. Over the past two decades they have processed nearly or over 15,000 patient samples resulting in more than 30,000 treatments for dogs, cats and horses with a strong safety record. Their technology has demonstrated efficacy particularly for osteoarthritis and soft tissue injuries. The company spun out its veterinary division as "VetStem Inc." to focus on animal health while retaining a majority stake in Personalized Stem Cells ("PSC"), which conducts FDA-approved human clinical trials targeting orthopedic conditions such as knee osteoarthritis. Early results from these studies have been submitted to the FDA; further expansion into other indications like organ failure or immune-mediated diseases remains under investigation.[2][5]
