Company intelligence / Profile preview
VGX Animal Health achieved regulatory approval for LifeTide SW 5 in Australia in January 2008, making it the world's first therapeutic plasmid delivered by electroporation approved for food animals. The product demonstrated significant decreases in perinatal mortality and morbidity in sows. Preclinical studies showed their TERT DNA vaccine delayed tumor growth and increased survival in mice, and their GHRH plasmid technology was effective in increasing daily lean weight gain in piglets with a single treatment versus daily growth hormone injections.
