Viapath was a prominent pathology services provider in the United Kingdom, operating as a public-private partnership between Serco and two major NHS Foundation Trusts: Guy’s and St Thomas’ and King’s College Hospital. The company delivered a comprehensive suite of diagnostic services, including clinical biochemistry, immunology, and molecular genetics, across multiple hospital sites in London. In 2022, the organization was succeeded by Synnovis after SYNLAB won the contract to become the new private sector partner. Viapath was recognized for managing one of the largest and most complex pathology networks in Europe, supporting both routine clinical care and specialized research. Its operations were integral to the diagnostic infrastructure of the National Health Service (NHS) for over a decade.
