Videomed was an Italian medtech and healthcare IT company focused on operating-room integration and surgical video management. The company developed vendor-neutral systems that connected surgical equipment, imaging, hospital IT systems, and video conferencing tools to improve workflow efficiency, ergonomics, and patient safety in the OR. Its flagship platform, Truelink 4, provided compact OR integration and video management capabilities, and its technology was also associated with the Helion integrated surgical system commercialized under Hillrom. Videomed served hospitals and surgical facilities rather than developing therapeutics, making it a healthcare technology company rather than a biotech or pharma developer. The company was acquired by Hill-Rom Holdings in July 2020 and is no longer an independent active company.
