The Vietnam Vaccine Consortium (VVC) is a strategic joint venture established in 2021 by major Vietnamese conglomerates, including Vingroup, the Vietnam Vaccine Joint Stock Company (VNVC), and T&T Group, to enhance the nation's vaccine production and procurement capabilities. Formed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the consortium focuses on technology transfer, large-scale manufacturing, and the distribution of advanced vaccines and biological products. VVC has partnered with international entities such as Arcturus Therapeutics and the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) to produce mRNA and viral vector vaccines domestically. The consortium plays a pivotal role in Vietnam's healthcare infrastructure by ensuring a stable supply of critical immunizations and fostering local expertise in biotechnology manufacturing.
