VilleVie is a Japanese biotechnology company dedicated to the clinical application of Multilineage-differentiating Stress Enduring (Muse) cells, a unique class of pluripotent stem cells discovered by Professor Mari Dezawa. Unlike other stem cells, Muse cells are endogenous, non-tumorigenic, and can be administered intravenously without the need for surgical implantation or gene manipulation. The company's platform focuses on the cells' innate ability to home to damaged tissues and undergo spontaneous differentiation to replace lost cells. VilleVie is advancing a pipeline targeting critical conditions such as acute myocardial infarction, ischemic stroke, and epidermolysis bullosa.
