Viral Gene is a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on the development of immunotherapeutic vaccines for gastrointestinal malignancies. The company's lead product candidate, Ad5.F35-GUCY2C-PADRE, is a second-generation adenoviral vector-based vaccine designed to prevent the recurrence and metastasis of colorectal, gastric, esophageal, and pancreatic cancers. By targeting the Guanylate cyclase 2C (GUCY2C) protein, which is specifically overexpressed in gastrointestinal tumor cells, the vaccine aims to stimulate a robust T-cell immune response against metastatic disease.
