Viral Technologies

Viral Technologies, Inc. is a biotechnology company and a wholly owned subsidiary of CEL-SCI Corporation, primarily focused on the development of vaccines for HIV/AIDS. The company's lead candidate, HGP-30, is a synthetic peptide vaccine based on the conserved p17 core protein of the HIV-1 virus. HGP-30 was designed to elicit both humoral and cellular immune responses, specifically targeting the non-mutating regions of the virus to provide broad protection. While the company conducted several Phase 1 and Phase 2 clinical trials in the 1990s, its parent company CEL-SCI has more recently focused its resources on its lead oncology candidate, Multikine.
