Virent is an industrial biotechnology company that specializes in the conversion of plant-based sugars into renewable fuels and chemicals. The company's proprietary BioForming® technology platform utilizes catalytic chemistry to produce "drop-in" hydrocarbons, including bio-gasoline, jet fuel, and paraxylene, which are molecularly identical to their petroleum-derived counterparts.
