Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center is a non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that provides comprehensive healthcare services to residents of Washington and Yamhill counties in Oregon. Founded in 1975, the organization was established in response to the tragic death of a six-year-old girl, Virginia Garcia, who died from a treatable infection due to a lack of access to medical care for migrant workers. Today, the center operates multiple primary care clinics, dental offices, and school-based health centers, serving over 52,000 patients annually. Their integrated care model includes primary medical care, dental services, pharmacy, and behavioral health, with a specific focus on serving migrant and seasonal farmworkers and those facing barriers to care.
