Virginia Tech Foundation

The Virginia Tech Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation that manages the private assets and endowment of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. It serves as a critical catalyst for the life sciences and technology sectors in Virginia by owning and operating the Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center (VTCRC). The VTCRC provides specialized infrastructure, including wet labs and research facilities, to over 180 companies ranging from startups to established biotech firms. Additionally, the Foundation manages the real estate and financial support for the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute at VTC, a major hub for health sciences research. Through its investment and management activities, the Foundation facilitates the commercialization of university-led innovations and supports the growth of the Virginia Tech Carilion health sciences campus.
