Visiting Nurse Associations of America

The Visiting Nurse Associations of America (VNAA) was a prominent national trade association dedicated to supporting nonprofit home health, hospice, and palliative care providers. For decades, it served as a unified voice for community-based healthcare organizations, offering advocacy at the federal level and developing clinical procedure manuals that became industry standards. The organization focused on ensuring high-quality care for vulnerable populations through education, policy analysis, and the promotion of best practices. In 2017, VNAA merged with the Alliance for Home Health Quality and Innovation to form ElevatingHOME. Subsequently, in 2019, these entities were fully integrated into the National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC) to create a more powerful advocacy body for the home care industry.
