Vistakon Pharmaceuticals was the ophthalmic drug division of Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, specializing in the development and commercialization of prescription eye drops. The company's portfolio focused on treatments for ocular allergies and bacterial infections, featuring notable products such as Lastacaft (alcaftadine), Quixin (levofloxacin), and Iquix (levofloxacin). In 2010, Johnson & Johnson divested the majority of Vistakon's pharmaceutical assets to Allergan for approximately $232 million to refocus on its core contact lens business. Following the sale, the entity ceased independent pharmaceutical development, and its products were integrated into Allergan's eye care franchise. The Vistakon brand remains active today primarily through Johnson & Johnson's Acuvue contact lens products.
