VitaHEAT Medical is a medical technology company that developed the VitaHEAT UB3, an innovative under-body patient warming system. The system is designed to prevent perioperative hypothermia by providing continuous, safe, and effective warmth to patients before, during, and after surgery. Unlike traditional forced-air warming systems, the VitaHEAT UB3 is battery-powered and utilizes patented conductive ink technology, making it highly portable and suitable for use during patient transport. The device's low-profile design allows it to be placed directly on the surgical table or stretcher without interfering with clinical access. In May 2019, the company was acquired by 3M to enhance its patient warming portfolio, which includes the well-known Bair Hugger brand. The technology is now part of Solventum, the independent healthcare company spun off from 3M in 2024.
