Company intelligence / Profile preview
Vital Sensors is a medical technology and bioprocessing instrumentation company that specializes in advanced spectroscopy and telemetric sensing. The company developed a breakthrough implantable, chip-based pressure sensor for the management of congestive heart failure, allowing for real-time monitoring of intra-cardiac hemodynamic pressure to guide remote therapy. Additionally, its bioprocessing division provides inline infrared sensors (such as the VS-3000) for the real-time monitoring of critical metabolites like glucose, lactate, and alcohol in pharmaceutical fermentation and cell culture. In May 2020, Vital Sensors was acquired by Endotronix to integrate its sensor technology into the Cordella Heart Failure System, and it is now part of Edwards Lifesciences following the 2024 acquisition of Endotronix.
