Vivra Nephrology Partners was a specialized division of Vivra, Inc., a prominent healthcare services company that operated as the second-largest provider of dialysis treatments in the United States during the 1990s. The company focused on partnering with nephrologists to manage specialized physician practices and provide comprehensive care for patients with chronic kidney disease and end-stage renal disease. Vivra, Inc. was a publicly traded entity on the New York Stock Exchange before its acquisition by the Swedish medical technology firm Gambro in 1997 for approximately $1.6 billion. Following the acquisition, its operations were integrated into Gambro Healthcare, which was later acquired by DaVita in 2005.
