Voxiva was a pioneering digital health company that specialized in mobile health (mHealth) solutions designed to drive large-scale behavior change and improve clinical outcomes. Founded in 2001, the company developed a robust platform that delivered evidence-based health information and support via SMS and mobile applications. Its flagship program, Text4baby, was the first free mobile health service in the U.S. for pregnant women and new mothers, developed in collaboration with Johnson & Johnson and the federal government. Voxiva also offered specialized programs for smoking cessation, diabetes management, and heart health. The company's technology was utilized globally, including early disease surveillance systems in Rwanda and Peru. In 2016, Voxiva was acquired by Welltok to integrate its mobile engagement capabilities into a broader health optimization platform.
