Company intelligence / Profile preview
The Waisbren Clinic was a specialized medical practice based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, founded by Dr. Burton Waisbren Sr., a pioneer in infectious disease and immunology. The clinic was renowned for treating patients with complex, multi-system illnesses such as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), fibromyalgia, and chronic Lyme disease. Its treatment philosophy centered on the belief that these conditions were driven by underlying chronic infections and immune system dysfunction. A signature treatment offered was the use of staph toxoid immunotherapy to recalibrate the patient's immune response. Although the clinic was a private practice rather than a drug developer, its protocols were widely discussed in the patient communities for these chronic conditions. Following the death of its founder in 2015, the clinic is no longer operational in its original capacity.
