WaisMed was an Israeli medical device company focused on intraosseous access products for emergency and critical care settings. The company developed automatic intraosseous infusion devices that enable rapid vascular access through bone marrow when intravenous access is difficult or impossible. Its best-known products include the B.I.G. Bone Injection Gun and the NIO family of devices for adult, pediatric, and infant use. WaisMed was founded in 1994, established an early leadership position in the intraosseous access market, and was acquired by PerSys Medical in 2004. Its products have since been commercialized under the PerSys Medical and later Safeguard Medical portfolios.
