WANETAM

WANETAM is a leading research consortium dedicated to strengthening the capacity for clinical trials and health research across West Africa. Established with support from the European & Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP), the network focuses on major infectious diseases including tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, and malaria, as well as emerging pathogens and neglected tropical diseases. WANETAM facilitates collaborative research, provides training for African scientists, and harmonizes laboratory and clinical practices across its member institutions. By fostering regional cooperation, the network aims to accelerate the development of new tools, diagnostics, and treatments tailored to the specific health needs of West African populations.
