While not a biotechnology company itself, its capital markets division was active in the life sciences sector, providing underwriting and advisory services to various Canadian biotech and healthcare firms. In 2011, the company was acquired by the National Bank of Canada for approximately $333 million and integrated into National Bank Financial.
