The Wellness Council of America (WELCOA) is a premier non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of workplace wellness and corporate health. Founded in 1987, the organization provides a comprehensive framework known as the Seven Benchmarks to help companies build and sustain results-oriented wellness programs. WELCOA offers professional certifications, training resources, and research-backed tools to health promotion professionals and business leaders. Its mission focuses on improving the health and well-being of employees to drive organizational performance and reduce healthcare costs. In 2020, WELCOA was acquired by the National Wellness Institute (NWI) to further integrate workplace wellness standards across the industry.
