WellVia was a U.S. virtual healthcare company that provided telehealth services through a proprietary cloud-based platform connecting patients with board-certified physicians and behavioral health specialists by phone, video, mobile app, and secure messaging. The company served employers and other healthcare stakeholders with virtual primary care, urgent care, behavioral health, and specialist access, and also expanded into genetics-enabled testing services under the WellVia Genetics brand. WellVia operated nationally and positioned itself as a technology-enabled telehealth services business rather than a drug-development company. In April 2022, the company was acquired by Recuro Health, which integrated WellVia's capabilities into its broader Digital Medical Home and virtual primary care offering. As a result, WellVia should be viewed primarily as an acquired digital health services brand rather than an independent biotech or pharma company.
