Wessex Pharmaceutical Group

Active from the 1980s until around 2010, the group focused on healthcare policy and parliamentary affairs, particularly regarding NHS reform and public health initiatives in the Wessex region of South West England. It was well-known for its engagement with UK politicians, employing several Members of Parliament as parliamentary advisers and consultants to provide strategic advice on government relations. The group operated from an office in Sonning, Reading, which it shared with the Japanese Pharmaceutical Group, indicating a collaborative approach to industry representation. While it was a significant voice in UK pharmaceutical lobbying for over two decades, its public profile and activities have since been superseded by larger national trade bodies.
