Westmed Medical Group is a U.S. multispecialty outpatient healthcare provider rather than a drug-development biotech company. Founded in 1996 in the New York metropolitan area, Westmed built a large physician-led practice offering primary care, specialty care, imaging, surgery-related services, and urgent care across Westchester County, Fairfield County, and surrounding markets. In January 2022, Westmed joined Summit Health, and the brand now operates within Summit Health as "Summit Health Westmed Medical Group" and at some sites as "formerly Westmed." The organization focuses on delivering integrated ambulatory care through physicians and advanced practice providers, not on developing therapeutic drug pipelines.
