Company intelligence / Profile preview
Whitehall-Robins was a prominent consumer healthcare division of American Home Products (later renamed Wyeth), formed by the merger of Whitehall Laboratories and A.H. Robins. The company was a leader in the over-the-counter (OTC) market, managing a portfolio of globally recognized brands including Advil, Robitussin, ChapStick, and Preparation H. Following the corporate rebranding of its parent to Wyeth in 2002, the entity operated as Wyeth Consumer Healthcare. In 2009, Pfizer acquired Wyeth in a 68 billion dollar deal, integrating the Whitehall-Robins legacy brands into its own consumer health unit. Today, many of these legacy brands are managed by Haleon, the consumer health spin-off resulting from the joint venture between GSK and Pfizer.
