Company intelligence / Profile preview
WiFiMed was a healthcare information technology company that provided Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and practice management software solutions. Its primary offering, the EncounterPRO EMR system, was designed to automate clinical workflows and improve documentation for pediatric and primary care practices. The company emphasized mobile and wireless integration, enabling healthcare providers to access and update patient records at the point of care. WiFiMed expanded its footprint through the acquisition of JMJ Technologies in 2007. In 2010, the company completed a reverse merger with Amedica Corporation, a spinal and orthopedic implant manufacturer. Following the merger, the combined entity focused on Amedica's medical device business, and WiFiMed's IT assets were eventually phased out.
