Williams de Broe

Williams de Broe was a prominent UK-based wealth management and stockbroking firm with a history dating back to 1869. The firm was well-regarded in the financial community for its specialized equity research, particularly in the healthcare, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical sectors, where its analysts provided deep coverage of emerging life science companies. After being owned by ING Group and the Evolution Group, the company was acquired by Investec in 2012 for approximately £233 million (as part of the Evolution Group deal). Following the acquisition, the Williams de Broe brand was retired and its operations were integrated into Investec Wealth & Investment. During its tenure, the firm served as a significant advisor and broker for numerous mid-cap companies in the UK life sciences sector.
