Williamson Memorial Hospital was a 76-bed acute care facility located in Williamson, West Virginia, that served the Tug Valley region for over 100 years. The hospital provided a comprehensive suite of healthcare services, including 24-hour emergency medicine, diagnostic imaging, general surgery, and inpatient care. In 2018, the facility was acquired by Mingo Health Partners from Community Health Systems (CHS). Despite efforts to maintain operations, the hospital faced severe financial challenges, leading to a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing in 2019 and its permanent closure in April 2020.
