Winter Street Ventures is a Boston-based healthcare venture capital firm and innovation accelerator focused on tech-enabled healthcare companies rather than a traditional therapeutic drug pipeline. Founded in 2016 by Chris Palmieri, the firm originally operated as the healthcare investment affiliate of Commonwealth Care Alliance and became an independent venture capital firm in April 2025. Winter Street Ventures invests primarily in early-stage companies using software, artificial intelligence, predictive analytics, and tech-enabled services to improve healthcare delivery, patient experience, and cost efficiency. The firm emphasizes strategic relationships with health plans, health systems, and operating partners to help portfolio companies scale in real-world care settings. Its inaugural independent fund, Winter Street Ventures Fund I LP, was launched in September 2025 with a stated $100 million target.
