WiredRed Software was a San Diego-based technology company specializing in enterprise instant messaging and web conferencing solutions. Founded in 1998, the company developed the e/pop software suite, which provided secure, real-time communication, alert messaging, and application sharing for corporate and government clients, including major pharmaceutical companies like Pfizer. In 2008, WiredRed launched Nefsis, a pioneer in cloud-based video conferencing and collaboration, which became widely used in telehealth and e-therapy applications. The company's technology was particularly noted for its security and ability to facilitate remote medical consultations and training. WiredRed was acquired by Brother International Corporation in 2011, and its cloud-based conferencing platform was integrated into Brother's business solutions portfolio.
