Women’s Business Development Center

The Women’s Business Development Center (WBDC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing programs and services that support women’s economic self-sufficiency through business ownership. Founded in 1986 and headquartered in Chicago, the WBDC offers business counseling, financial assistance, and certification for Women’s Business Enterprises (WBE). While not a life sciences or drug development company, it plays a critical role in the entrepreneurial ecosystem by helping diverse business owners, including those in the healthcare and technical sectors, scale their operations and access corporate and public procurement opportunities. The organization serves as a regional partner for the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) across nine Midwestern states.
