Wood is a global consulting and engineering company that provides project delivery, operations, maintenance, and technical advisory services across energy, chemicals, minerals and metals, power, and selected industrial markets. While it has a life sciences practice supporting pharmaceutical, biotechnology, biologics, and cell and gene therapy facilities, Wood is not a drug developer and does not operate a therapeutic pipeline. Its role in life sciences is primarily as an engineering, design, commissioning, qualification, validation, automation, and manufacturing infrastructure partner for biopharma companies. Historically listed in London as John Wood Group PLC, the company was acquired by Sidara and delisted from the London Stock Exchange in March 2026. Wood remains an operating company under the Sidara group.
