Medera is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on cardiovascular diseases, operating through two specialized units: Novoheart and Sardocor. Novoheart utilizes its proprietary "mini-Heart" (Heart-in-a-Jar) platform for drug discovery and disease modeling, while Sardocor focuses on the clinical development of next-generation gene therapies. The company’s lead candidate, SRD-001, is an adeno-associated virus (AAV) gene therapy targeting the SERCA2a protein to restore cardiac calcium handling in patients with heart failure and Duchenne muscular dystrophy-associated cardiomyopathy.
