Woori IO

Woori IO is developing a noninvasive glucose monitoring device using near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS), aiming to eliminate the need for finger pricks and sensors in diabetes management. The company has completed proof-of-concept studies validating accuracy and is preparing for a larger confirmatory trial for regulatory approval in South Korea. The technology is positioned for wearable integration, such as smartwatches, and has been selected for Samsung Electronics' C-Lab Outside program. No truly noninvasive glucose monitor has yet received global regulatory approval; Woori IO is among the few with both a working prototype and a regulatory path.
