Worldwide Veterinary Service

Worldwide Veterinary Service (WVS) is a UK-based veterinary charity and animal health nonprofit focused on improving animal welfare globally through direct veterinary care, professional training, emergency response, and distribution of veterinary aid. Founded in 2003 by veterinarian Luke Gamble, the organization operates international training centres, deploys veterinary teams to underserved regions, and runs large-scale rabies control and education programs through its flagship initiative Mission Rabies. WVS also develops digital and educational tools, including the WVS App for field campaign coordination and the WVS Academy for online veterinary training in resource-limited settings. Unlike a drug-development biotech or pharma company, WVS is an operating animal-health service organization whose activities center on veterinary services, public-health-oriented rabies vaccination campaigns, and capacity building for local veterinary professionals.
