Company intelligence / Profile preview
The Wound Management Innovation CRC (WMI CRC) was an Australian research consortium established to improve wound healing outcomes and reduce the clinical and economic burden of chronic wounds. Operating from 2010 to 2018, the center brought together industry, academia, and healthcare providers to develop innovative diagnostics, treatments, and clinical protocols. Its research focused on major challenges such as diabetic foot ulcers, venous leg ulcers, and pressure injuries. The WMI CRC was instrumental in developing national clinical guidelines and wound assessment tools that have been widely adopted in the healthcare sector. Although it concluded its planned eight-year term in 2018, its legacy continues through its partner organizations and the ongoing implementation of its research findings.
