Wuhan Shetai Medical Technology is a Chinese medical technology company and a key subsidiary of Grand Pharmaceutical Group (Grand Pharma), established in 2020 as a joint venture with Sirtex Medical. The company serves as the primary vehicle for introducing, registering, and commercializing Sirtex's SIR-Spheres Y-90 resin microspheres (Chinese trade name: Yigantai) in China. Yigantai is an innovative selective internal radiotherapy (SIRT) product approved by the NMPA in 2022 for the treatment of liver malignant tumors, including colorectal cancer liver metastases. Wuhan Shetai Medical is actively expanding the clinical applications of Y-90 microspheres to other indications, such as glioblastoma, while partnering with health insurance companies like MediTrust Health to improve patient access and affordability.
