Xcorporeal

Xcorporeal was a medical device company focused on the development of innovative organ replacement technologies, specifically for patients with end-stage renal disease. The company's flagship technology was the Wearable Artificial Kidney (WAK), a miniaturized, wearable dialysis machine designed to provide continuous treatment and greater mobility for patients. In addition to the WAK, Xcorporeal developed portable and stationary dialysis systems intended for use in various clinical settings. The company was publicly traded on the OTCBB under the symbol XCRP before its acquisition. In 2010, Xcorporeal was acquired by Fresenius Medical Care, the world's largest provider of dialysis products and services, which integrated Xcorporeal's intellectual property into its own research and development efforts.
