Company intelligence / Profile preview
Xcyte Therapies developed ex vivo cellular therapies using its proprietary Xcellerate Technology to activate and expand autologous T cells for treating cancer, infectious diseases, and immunodeficiencies. The company’s lead programs were discontinued after regulatory setbacks. Its core technology was sold to Invitrogen in 2005 for $5 million. The remaining business merged with Cyclacel Pharmaceuticals via a reverse merger in late 2005, ceasing independent operations.
