Overview
Xellera Therapeutics operates Hong Kong’s first commercial cGMP facility dedicated to the development and manufacture of advanced cell and gene therapies. The company has produced the first batch of locally manufactured CAR-T cells up to international standards with a focus on reducing treatment costs for leukemia patients. It also leads efforts in establishing an iPSC haplobank tailored to the Southern Chinese population for regenerative medicine applications. Several clinical-grade mesenchymal stem cells and gene/cell therapies are in their pipeline targeting heart disease, cancer, viral infections, spinal injuries, blindness and more.
