Xiangshui Huasheng Chemical

Xiangshui Huasheng Chemical was a chemical manufacturing company located in the Chenjiagang Chemical Industry Park in Yancheng, Jiangsu Province, China. Founded in 2004, the company specialized in the production of fine chemicals and intermediates, particularly sulfone derivatives like 4-methylsulfonyl benzaldehyde. These products are critical intermediates in the synthesis of various agrochemicals and pharmaceutical agents, including certain anti-inflammatory drugs. Following the 2019 Xiangshui chemical plant explosion, the local government ordered the closure of the entire industrial park, effectively ending the company's manufacturing activities at that site. It served as a component of the small molecule supply chain for global life science industries.
