Overview
XL-protein develops biopharmaceuticals using its proprietary PASylation® technology to extend plasma half-life of therapeutic proteins. This enables less frequent dosing and improved tolerability. The company has demonstrated efficient production of hyperactive PASylated DNase I with extended half-life and has an immunosuppressive PASylated antibody fragment supported by the Bavarian Research Foundation for cardiac xenotransplantation. Most results are preclinical, with some programs advancing toward early clinical phases through spin-outs or partnerships.
