Xlumena developed advanced image-guided endoscopic devices to enable minimally invasive procedures for gastrointestinal and biliary diseases. Its lead product, the AXIOS Stent and Delivery System—including the HOT AXIOS variant—was designed to create secure drainage pathways between the GI tract and target organs such as the bile duct or pancreas. The company achieved CE mark in Europe in 2012, FDA clearance for pancreatic pseudocyst drainage in late 2013, raised over $53M from top-tier investors, expanded globally prior to its acquisition by Boston Scientific in April 2015. Clinical results supported safe and effective minimally invasive management of complex GI conditions.[2][3][5]
