Xtremi-T

Xtremi-T was a medical technology company specializing in the development of resorbable trauma products for small bone and joint applications. Based in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, the company focused on bioabsorbable polymer technologies, such as PLLA and PLGA, to create implants that provide temporary fixation and are eventually absorbed by the body. Its lead products included the Refix Pin, which received FDA 510(k) clearance for orthopedic use in treating fractures and osteotomies. In January 2005, Xtremi-T was acquired by Small Bone Innovations (SBI) as part of a strategy to build a comprehensive portfolio of small bone and joint solutions. Following SBI's acquisition by Stryker in 2014, Xtremi-T's technologies were integrated into Stryker's orthopedic extremities division.
