Yehuda Zissapel

Neurim Pharmaceuticals is an Israeli drug discovery and development company focused on central nervous system (CNS) disorders, particularly sleep medicine and neurodegeneration. Founded in 1991 by Yehuda Zissapel and Nava Zisapel, the company is best known for developing Circadin, a prolonged-release melatonin formulation for the treatment of insomnia. Its pediatric product, Slenyto, is approved for insomnia in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Smith-Magenis syndrome. Neurim's pipeline includes piromelatine, a multi-target receptor agonist being investigated for Alzheimer's disease and sleep disorders. The company operates as part of the RAD Group and maintains a strong focus on the role of melatonin in aging and neurological health. Following the passing of Yehuda Zissapel in 2024, the company continues its mission under the leadership of co-founder Nava Zisapel.
