Yeni Ilaç

Yeni İlaç (Yeni İlaç ve Hammaddeleri Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş.) is a historic Turkish pharmaceutical company founded in 1927, recognized as one of the first national pharmaceutical laboratories in the country. Founded by Dr. Kamil Berk and Pharmacist Hulki Göknar, the company established a leading market position in the urology therapeutic area, offering both proprietary and licensed medications. In 2008, it was acquired by the Italian pharmaceutical group Recordati for €48 million, serving as a strategic entry point for Recordati into the Turkish and regional markets. Following the acquisition and a subsequent merger with Dr. Frik İlaç, the company's operations were integrated into Recordati İlaç. The company continues to operate a large-scale manufacturing facility in Esenyurt, Istanbul, providing both its own products and contract manufacturing services. Its legacy includes well-known urology treatments such as Uropan and Mictonorm.
